Scene examination

A scene examiner, such as a police scene of crime officer, is trained to assess and examine scenes of incidents by identifying, recording, recovering and preserving material for further examination.

Their objective is to establish a sequence of events and the nature of any offence, providing reports and statements which contribute to the investigation.
