Stage C - finalisation

Stage C is when we finalise our decision based mainly on the recommendation of the assessors .

When your completed assessment reaches our office, we will check everything is in order. Your application will probably move straight to registration at this point, although, as when you first applied, we may randomly select your assessment to be externally verified.

If we grant revalidation, you will receive a confirmation letter from us. We will also send your casework back to you, unless you have asked us to destroy it securely.

You will begin a new registration period immediately after your current period ends which will run for another four years. At this point we will send you a new certificate and update your register entry to show the new period.

If we cannot revalidate your registration, we will write to you explaining this. We will send you copies of the comments of the assessors together with all your casework. You can appeal against their decision, but if successful you will have to go through the revalidation process again. It might be better for you to discuss your assessments with your employer and then reapply at a later stage.

Please note that we may need to take into account any fitness to practise issues you have declared before we make a final decision over revalidation.
